Born on an Ontario farm in 1907, Laura Dixon lived most of her life in rural areas, eventually retiring to Milton, Ontario. A lifelong writer, she wrote a book to commemorate the Kilbride United Church Centennial called "Our Church Centennial - Kilbride United Church 1860-1960" which formed the basis for a film of the same name. Her first book of poetry was published in 1977, her second in 1984 and this, her third, in her 90th year.
