Toronto-born Pamela (Roy) Bendall was raised in Montreal, Quebec, and has lived in Vancouver, Victoria, the Yukon Territory, and more recently the Pacific Ocean. Prior to her decision to sail off into the sunset she had established an impressive professional, intellectual, and athletic profile. With a Masters Degree in Communication (Royal Roads University) she has worked as a Realtor, Investment Broker, radio columnist for CBC, and as a national level gymnast. She has completed four marathons, navigated the Marblehead Ocean Race from Boston to Halifax, the Victoria to Maui Yacht Race, and has sailed over 150,000 ocean miles.
