Claire Drainie Taylor (nee Wodlinger)) was a Canadian actor and writer, who wrote and acted in radio and television productions for CBC Radio from the 1930s through the 1960s. She was married to Canadian radio star John Drainie in the 1930s and cinema magnate Nat Taylor from the 1960s until his death in 2004. The book is not only an excellent family and social history, it is a compelling story and memorable self-portrait of its author.
